How to Display Finished Pearl Art: Shelves, Frames, and Seasonal Styling

Jeweled Skull and Pumpkins pearl art styled in a purple Halloween display

The last piece is in place, and your DIY project is ready for its next role: part of your room. Pearl-and-gem artwork has a raised surface, so planning the display is a little different from slipping a flat print into a frame.

Start with your actual finished piece. Product photos can show decorative stands, frames, candles, or other styling props that are not part of the kit. VibeNook’s current pearl art listings state that decorative props are not included.

Measure before buying a frame

Measure the outer canvas, the area you want visible, and the height of the raised pieces. A frame’s advertised size may describe the image opening rather than its total outside dimensions. Check the opening and depth against your own artwork before ordering.

The Four Ghosts option on our Boo Crew Ghosts listing and Jeweled Skull design both measure 20 × 20 cm (approximately 7.9 × 7.9 inches). That measurement is a useful starting point, not a guarantee that every frame sold as “8 × 8” will fit. Measure the finished piece and the frame opening before buying.

Give the raised surface room

If you want a glazed frame, check that there is clearance between the artwork and the glass or acrylic. Do not force a raised design into a shallow frame or press its decorative pieces against the front. Ask the frame supplier about the available depth and a mounting method appropriate for your canvas.

A deeper display frame may offer more room, but depth still needs to be checked. The kit does not include a frame or mounting hardware unless the specific listing says otherwise. Avoid trimming the canvas until you have confirmed that doing so will not remove part of the design or needed border.

Try a shelf display without crowding the art

A stable display stand or suitable backing can help a piece sit upright on a shelf. Choose support appropriate to the artwork’s size and material; a flexible canvas should not be left unsupported where it can bend or slide.

For a playful Halloween corner, place the ghost design beside one or two small seasonal objects and leave some space around it. For a darker focal point, the Jeweled Skull & Pumpkins design can be styled with purple or neutral accents. These are styling ideas, not additional items included with either kit.

Use light thoughtfully

Try viewing the artwork from different angles under ordinary room lighting. A small change in position can make different raised details visible. Keep the display away from open flames, hot lamps, water, and places where it can be knocked over. Decorative lights are an alternative to real candles when building a seasonal arrangement.

Do not assume the finished piece is waterproof, outdoor-safe, or suitable for a damp room. Follow the product’s care instructions. If you want to use a sealant, confirm compatibility first rather than applying an untested coating to the whole design.

Store a seasonal piece carefully

When the season ends, use a clean, dry container that protects the surface from rubbing and pressure. Avoid stacking heavy objects directly on the raised pieces. Keep any leftover craft pieces labeled and out of reach of young children and pets.
